Readers Respond: Best Neighborhoods for Trick-or-Treating in Louisville

There's nothing worse for a kid on Halloween then knocking on door after door of houses where the lights are turned off and the blinds are closed. Kids want to go to the neighborhoods where there are plenty of decorations to see and plenty of candy to collect. Do you know where to find the best neighborhoods for trick-or-treating in Louisville? Help some local kids have a great Halloween evening by sharing your secret.

Historic Corydon

I know it's not a Louisville neighborhood, but downtown Corydon (the historic district) is a great place to trick or treat, and it's not all that far outside of Louisville. Might be worth the drive for some. The neighbors all decorate really well, and almost everyone sits out on their porches with bowls of candy for trick or treaters. Plus, the area is fairly compact, so it doesn't take more than a couple of hours to visit all of the houses (if that), but the kids still get tons of candy.
