From the article: Get to Know Louisville's Malls
If you're going mall shopping in Louisville, you're going to want to make sure you head for the best Louisville mall. It's not as though it's possible to make it through more than one mall in a day of shopping. Some people love the openness and high-end stores at the Summit, some prefer the streamlined shopping at Jefferson Mall, and some prefer to spend days shopping for outdoor equipment at the Bass Pro Shop in the old River Falls Mall. If only one mall could exist in Louisville, which would you choose to stay?
Bass Pro Shop at River Falls Mall
- I like the Bass Pro Shop at the old River Falls Mall complex because they have clothes that fit larger men. At JCPenney you can only find pants up to a 44 in. waist, but at Bass Pro my 48 in. waisted husband can find plenty of pants to choose from. I do miss the old River Falls arcade, though.

Saint Matthews Mall Louisville
- Saint Mathews Mall is really nice, but it's a shame they've had one of the anchor tenants sitting empty for such a long time. What about getting a Belk Department Store or Saks Fifth Avenue to fill in that spot? The largest mall in Louisville should not have an empty anchor tenant like that.

Green Tree Mall in Clarksville, IN
- Green Tree Mall is my favorite because it's small and is home to the largest one-story Dillards.

Away with Louisville Shopping Malls
- I wish all of the malls would go away so that people would have to buy from the local businesses instead. You know what's better than mall shopping? Walking down Bardstown Road or Frankfort Avenue and checking out the original, interesting, local stores there.

Mall St. Matthews
- Mall St. Matthews is the biggest mall with all of the best stores. I've been going there my whole life, and I still get lost in its maze of shopping.
