Metro Parks Summer Camps

Metro Parks Summer Camps are held at various locations throughout Louisville. They're designed primarily for children between the ages of 6 and 12, though there are opportunities for older children to work as junior camp counselors. Metro Parks Summer Camps focus on nature themes and incorporate arts and crafts projects. Fees vary from $45-$90 per week.

Kentucky Humane Society Summer Camps

The Kentucky Humane Society summer camps are offered for children and teens between the ages of 6 and 16. These camps are designed for animal-loving kids as well as teens who are interested in working with animals, and one session even allows dog owners to bring their well-behaved dogs to camp with them. Fees for these week-long camps run between $175 and $200.

Louisville Nature Center

Summer Camps at the Louisville Nature Center offer children between the ages of 4 and 12 the opportunity to explore nature hands-on and learn about the local wildlife and habitats found in the 41-acre Beargrass Creek State Park. Fees for week-long camp sessions at the Louisville Nature Center run from $100 to $190.

Louisville Science Center

The Louisville Science Center summer camps are designed for children in grades K-8 to engage in age-appropriate scientific study of dinosaurs, superheroes, magic, bugs, spies, and more. Fees for week-long camp sessions at the Louisville Science Center run from $175 to $400.

Louisville Zoo

The Louisville Zoo has a ton of summer camp offerings for children between the ages of 2 and 15. Summer camps at the Louisville Zoo include nature study, arts and crafts, controlled animal contact, and walks and hikes, among other activities. Fees for week-long camp sessions at the Louisville Zoo run from $100 to $190.

YMCA Summer Camps

YMCA Summer Camps are held at various locations throughout Kentuckiana. They're designed for kids of all ages, from preschoolers to teens. YMCA Summer Camps focus on a diverse range of topics, from soccer to computers to dance, so there's sure to be something your kids will enjoy. Fees vary based on the camp and location chosen.

Camp Piomingo

Camp Piomingo is a traditional, overnight camp for children between the ages of 6 and 16. Children at Camp Piomingo engage in a variety of age-appropriate activities, such as arts, caving, drama, horseback riding, rappelling, and swimming, among many more. Fess vary based on the duration of stay, age of child, and program.

Jewish Community Center

Summer camp sessions are available at the Jewish Community Center for children from 20 months old all the way up to 10th grade. The Jewish Community Center offers general day camps as well as specialty camps which allow campers to design their own summer experience, and all camps promote physical activity, creativity, and socialization. Fees for these week-long camp sessions vary from $20 to $600.

Louisville Skating Academy

The Louisville Skating Academy offers week-long summer camps at Iceland Sports Complex for children between the ages of 3 and 13 who are interested in ice skating, figure skating, or hockey. Skaters are divided into classes based on age, experience, and skill level. No prior skating experience is necessary to enroll. Tuition for a week of summer camp through the Louisville Skating Academy is $175.
