Many people turn up their noses at the mention of Goodwill, which is fine with me – the less they shop there the more likely it is that I'll continue finding small treasures all over town. The truth is that the best dressed woman I've ever known told me once that she never buys anything new – everything she owns comes from the Goodwill or consignment shops.
Personally, I quit shopping in department stores almost altogether a couple of years ago. Instead, I drive around town buying brand new, name brand clothing for less than a tenth of the price I would pay at the mall. However, not all Goodwill stores are alike.
