Stop Nine: Corydon Public Libaray

(c) 2008 Michael Maupin

Once you've finished exploring the historic town square, head south down North Capitol Avenue. At the intersection of North Capitol Avenue and Chestnut Street, you'll find the current Corydon Public Library. This historic building once served as the first state bank of Indiana. It was created by the Indiana legislature in response to the Panic of 1819 in an attempt to stabilize the local economy.
