Stop Four: Governor's Headquarters

(c) 2008 Michael Maupin

Across the street from the Visitor Center is the old Governor's Headquarters. The home was built in 1817 by Davis Floyd, an Indiana state legislature. In 1819, it was purchased by the state in order to house Governor William Hendricks. Hendricks lived in the house from 1822 to 1825. The Governor's Headquarters is now a part of the Corydon Capitol Historic Site.
