Indiana University Southeast, known locally as IUS, is a satellite branch of Indiana University. IUS is comprised of six schools (Arts & Letters, Education, Business, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Nursing) and one division (Continuing Studies). IUS is located in New Albany, Indiana, just outside of Louisville, KY. While traditionally known as a commuter campus, the addition of five on-campus residence lodges in 2008 made the school more appealing to a traditional college student demographic.
