First Friday Trolley Hop

What: A tour of dozens of galleries in Downtown Louisville’s art district, taking participants to several different art galleries located on the Main, Market, and Fourth Street strips.
2008 Hollydays Art and Gift Market
When: December 5th, 6th, and 7thWhere: Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center
What: This weekend art fair and sale features vendors and artists from all over the country selling a variety of wares, such as art, clothing, and jewelry.
Iroquois Park Winterfest
When: Saturday, December 6thWhere: Iroquois Park
What: This holiday celebration features an appearance by Santa who speaks both English and Spanish and will listen to kids' Christmas wishes, live entertainment by provided by local schools, children's games, and a production in remembrance of America's military personnel.
Olde Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Avenue
When: Saturday, December 6thWhere: Frankfort Avenue
What: This Louisville Christmas event features the Santa Sprint Run and Stroll, festive Dog Walk, Good Neighbor Awards, holiday refreshments, photo opportunities with Santa at the Louisville Water Company, and trolley, horse, and carriage rides.
Old Louisville Holiday House Tour
When: Saturday and Sunday, December 6th and 7thWhere: Begins at Cochran Elementary School
What: This tour of Old Louisville showcases seven historical, Victorian homes, both inside and out, decorated for Christmas with a sleigh bells theme. Additionally, Christmas and Hanukah gifts will be sold in the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum gift shop on St. James Court.
The Brown-Foreman Nutcracker
When: December 6th - 21stWhere: The Kentucky Center
What: Check out the biggest local annual holiday production in its current form for the final time in its 12-year run. The show will be completely redone in 2009.
Christmas Card Making Party
When: Thursday, December 11thWhere: The 930 Art Center
What: A free Christmas card-making party for adults and children of all ages hosted by the 930 Art Center.
2008 Martinis and Mistletoe
When: Thursday, December 11thWhere: Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft
What: Join other artists and art lovers from around the state for martinis and appetizers while browsing artwork for sale and listening to live music.
Rainbow Blossom's Holiday Green Gift Fair
When: Saturday, December 13thWhere: Lexington Road Rainbow Blossom
What: Local businesses, artists, and organizations will gather at Rainbow Blossom for the third annual Holiday Green Gift Fair. Vendors will sell environmentally-friendly and locally-produced gift items from Noon to 4 p.m.
Stitch for a Cause
When: Saturday, December 13thWhere: Kentucky Country Day School
What: Join women from around the country while they knit and crochet hats for infants and write personal letters to the president, asking him to lead the way to saving the more than 4 million infants that die in the first year of their lives in developing countries.
