Mother's Day this year is Sunday, May 11th. Unless you took your mom to the Derby as an early Mother's Day present, you're going to need to drag yourself back out the next weekend and take her somewhere special. It is your mom, after all. Mother's Day Lunch Cruise
Both the Belle of Louisville and the Spirit of Jefferson are offering mid-day cruises this Mother's Day that include a lunch buffet and a few hours on the Ohio River. Mother's Day Brunch
Louisville's historic Locust Grove has an annual Gardner's Fair and Silent Auction every year during Mother's Day weekend, and the Mother's Day Brunch is one of the event's most anticipated activities. The Gardner's Fair offers visitors the change to buy a variety of garden plants as well as participate in a silent auction. Blow Mom a Vase
If your mother likes to make crafts or is a fan of art, you may want to consider taking her to Glassworks on Mother's Day where she can learn glass blowing techniques and blow herself a vase. When she's finished, you can take her to the closest florist and fill her vase with fresh flowers. Johnny Mathis Concert
If your mother is a fan of Johnny Mathis, then the perfect Mother's Day gift this year will be taking her to the Johnny Mathis concert at the Louisville Palace Theater. Take Mom Out to the Ballgame
If your mom is a fan of baseball, sun, or beer, she might really enjoy going to Louisville Slugger Field to watch the Louisville Bats play Richmond on Mother's Day.
