About.com Guide to Louisville

Jessica Elliott is a writer, editor, and passionate Louisville resident. She has lived in the Greater Louisville area for 24 years of her life. In that time, she's called nearly each of Kentuckiana's districts home – from Shively to Corydon to the Highlands. As such, she is exceptionally familiar with each of the area's diverse neighborhoods.

Experience:

Jessica quit her bartending job in 2006 to pursue a career as a freelance writer. She worked her way through college by writing content for website developers, though most of her projects consisted of writing dry articles about mortgages and insurance. She graduated college in August of 2007 and began working full-time as an editor for UPS. She is still a freelance writer at night, but she now only writes about topics she cares about.

Education:

Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a writing concentration from Indiana University Southeast. She hopes to one day return to school to obtain a Master of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction, though she doubts she'll ever find the time.

From Jessica Elliott:

I've lived in Louisville for most of my life, and I don't think I'll ever want to live anywhere else again. I've traveled to many different places, but Louisville is the only city that feels like home.

Because I love the city, I also love writing about it. This website is constantly changing and being updated with new content about our fabulous city. However, the things I love about Louisville may not be the same as the things that you love about Louisville. If you can't find the information that you're looking for here, please feel free to email me your comments or suggestions.
