Each year, the Louisville Zoo presents a family-friendly Halloween party. The theme is to be seen, not scared. Designed for the little ones in Louisville, the zoo stages storybook scenes throughout the park and there is trick-or-treating all over the zoo. Families are invited to come before or after dark. "The World's Largest Halloween Party" is held on certain evenings of October.
When is it?
The 2013 dates are October 4-6, 10-13, 17-20 & 24-27, from 5-8:30 p.m.
Who can trick-or-treat?
Trick-or-treating is open to kids 11 and under. Bags are available for sale, or bring your own.
Can adults dress up?
Yes, but this is an event for young kids. Keep costumes friendly in theme, masks covering faces are not allowed.
How much does it cost?
There is special pricing for zoo members, visit the website for details. For non-members, tickets are $7.50 each when purchased at Meijer stores or online for $8 each. Day of tickets, purchased at the event provided the evening is not sold out, are $10 each.
