Frankfort Avenue will host its monthly F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop on Friday, October 29, from 6-10:30 p.m. This event takes participants to several different art galleries, retail shops, and dining establishments located on Frankfort, Mellwood, and Story Avenues.
This month, participating businesses will be adorned in Halloween decor and will give away free treats to children. Everyone is encouraged to wear costumes! Additionally, the October Trolley Hop will feature the following special events (details from a press release):
- D&W Silks will give a treat to anyone wearing a costume! They will also offer 50% off all pink floral stems, any arrangement containing pink flowers, and all pink candles in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
- Elizabeth's Timeless Attire will give everyone dressed in a costume a $5 gift certificate to be used on their next purchase at Elizabeth's.
- Margaret's Consignment will host a costume contest and give away door prizes. The evening will include live music and wine tastings courtesy of Kentucky Wine Tastings. Margaret's will also be accepting donations for Hosparus.
- eyedia will donate a percentage of proceeds to the Center for Women and Families and will raffle a chocolate truffle cake from Brad Buchanan. Guests can also enjoy champagne and live music.
- It's All Greek to Me will feature free belly dancing lessons and drawings to win free lunches!
- Gallery M will host the first American exhibit by Chinese artist Wang Jianguoa, which depicts landscape paintings of the artists' hometown, nearby water town, and Europe. Light refreshments will be served.
