Don't Trash It, Recycle Your Old Electronics

From Jessica Elliott, About.com Guide   December 26, 2009

Well, it's the day after Christmas, and, naturally, your trashcans are full of wrapping paper and boxes. Hopefully, though, you haven't tried to sneak the old electronics you replaced this year into the trash can with all of your Christmas wrapping waste. If you have electronic waste, I hope you'll take it to the Louisville Metro Waste Reduction Center to be recycled.

Recycling your old electronics saves landfill space and lowers the costs of landfill maintenance. Louisville residents can drop up to three old electronics off per visit for free, and businesses can drop their electronic waste off for 30 cents per pound. It's a great way to get rid of those old, clunky computer monitors that the Goodwill won't take anymore.
