Cheapest Movie Theater in Louisville Closes

Last week when I was writing my article about things families can do during Christmas break, I ended up on the website for the Cinemark 10 movie theater. Cinemark 10 was in Clarksville behind the Green Tree Mall. It was never more than $2 to see a second-run movie there, so it was a great place to catch some of the big summer movies you missed once the weather started getting cold and you no longer wanted to spend your time outdoors.

Unfortunately, in my research, I found out that Cinemark 10 closed earlier this year. I'm not sure exactly when--I didn't hear about it through any of the local news outlets--but its page on the Cinemark website says "theater closed." Luckily we still have one second-run movie theater in Louisville: Village 8. Ticket prices at Village 8 run between $3 and $5.
