Each week until Christmas, I'm going to blog about a Louisville charity that I admire and support. If you're thinking about giving to a worthwhile cause this holiday season, I hope you'll consider donating to these organizations.
The Kentucky Humane Society is a local nonprofit agency that provides a number of services for animals and animal lovers alike. In addition to providing shelter to unwanted animals and finding homes for those animals through the adoption process, the Kentucky Humane Society also offers behavior training classes, spaying and neutering clinics, pet boarding, and animal rescue, among other services.
There are a number of ways that you can give to the Kentucky Humane Society. Like any charity, they accept monetary donations, but they also accept donations of much needed items, such as cat litter, newspaper, bleach, crib mattresses, and grooming supplies, among others. You could also get a Kentucky Humane Society Visa Card and support the charity just by using the card to make purchases.
The Kentucky Humane Society is an admirable organization that has been around for a long time, and I hope the animal lovers out there will support the organization and all of the unwanted animals housed there this Christmas season (Visit Their Website).
