Write a Blog, Support the LFPL

From Jessica Elliott, About.com Guide   August 25, 2009

A couple of weeks ago, I told you about some places where you could donate to help the Louisville Free Public Library recover from the August flash flooding that still has the Main Branch shut down. This week I've discovered a new way that you can support the LFPL, and all it takes is a little bit of time and a blog.

On Monday, August 31, bloggers from all over will be writing a post titled "Why Libraries Are Awesome" to participate in a blogathon to support the LFPL. The goal is simply to raise awareness and hopefully earn the Main Branch some more donations. So, next Monday you'll be able to read about why I love libraries, and, if you have a blog, you can write about it too. For more information about the LFPL blogathon, visit the event's wiki page.
