No Fireworks at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in 2009

Monday June 29, 2009
A Fourth of July tradition for many families will have to be altered – the annual Fourth of July fireworks show at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park will not happen in 2009 due to lack of state funding and loss of a major sponsor. This fireworks show has been an annual event since the early 1990s, and officials say the event will not return until at least 2011. (Source: C-J)

If you still want to watch a major local fireworks show on someone else's dime, there are fireworks show happening this weekend on the riverfront, in Crescent Hill, Bullitt County, Oldham County, and Corydon, Indiana (More Information).
