Louisville.com Dodgeball Tournament

Friday December 19, 2008
If you can dodge traffic in Spaghetti Junction, you can dodge a ball. I don't know that I've played dodgeball since middle school, but several of my friends have convinced me to enter the Louisville.com Dodgeball Tournament this February. I agreed, mostly because I want to throw balls at them for a couple of months as practice. Also, it sounds like the most ridiculous thing ever, and I'm always up for all things ridiculous. Details from the Louisville.com website:

Louisville.com is hosting the first citywide invitational tournament to find the team of six individuals that will become the reigning champs of the schoolyard. At 7pm on February 7, 2009, thirty two teams will convene at the Basketball Academy in east Louisville. One by one, in three minute matches, they will be eliminated. At the end of three hours, one team will be left standing. Entry fee is $50 per team (before January 21). Grand prize is $500 cash to the winning team with additional prizes for second place, third place, most outrageous team costumes, weakest competitor, the "boobie" prize, and more.
If the possibility of getting your nose broken by a dodgeball and then having to explain that to your boss and mother sounds like fun to you, head over to Louisville.com and get your entry form today. Hey, you might even get to throw balls at me.
