Gift Cards that Won't Be Worthless

Thursday December 18, 2008
Throughout the holiday season, I've been reading warnings about buying gift cards for Christmas. The fear is that a lot of businesses will close their doors when the holiday season is over, rendering any balances left on gift cards for that retail store, restaurant, etc. useless. However, there is one gift card that won't be useless when the new year rolls around, and it's a Louisville Originals gift card.

A Louisville Originals gift card allows its possessor to eat at any one of more than fifty locally-owned restaurants. Granted, it hasn't been a great year for local businesses, but it's pretty much impossible for 50 local restaurants to all go out of business before you or the person you give the gift card to could use it. So, go out and buy all of your friends and family this recession-proof gift card, eat some fantastic food, and support locally-owned businesses.
