Definitely Do the Science Center

Monday December 15, 2008
After blogging last week about the deals going on at the Louisville Science Center this month, my husband and I decided to take our daughter out there on Saturday night for the $5 admission after 5 p.m. deal. Five dollars gets you into the museum either to see the exhibits or to watch an IMAX film. Given that my daughter is only three years old, we decided against going to a loud, scary IMAX film (though I love watching films at the IMAX) and instead chose to use our admission toward touring the exhibits.

It was really cold out Saturday night, so I was glad to have something to do that kept us indoors. We wandered around and looked at exhibits for two hours, and we could have stayed for longer if we hadn't also planned to do some Christmas cruising afterward. Fifteen dollars for as many as four hours of fun is a really good deal, especially considering that we spent that much last weekend picking up some Burger King on our way home from a friend's Christmas party.

It's definitely worth the cost if you have a Friday or Saturday evening open this month. I think adults and children alike will enjoy it the same – it's something to do with the kids as well as a unique date idea.
