Get Rewarded for Buying Locally

There are a ton of reasons why you should be shopping locally for your Christmas presents this year: you want to support the local economy in these tough economic times, Louisville has the most interesting and diverse local shops in the world (IMO), you want to give your friends and family interesting, original, and unique presents, etc. So, if those aren't reasons enough, now the Louisville Independent Business Alliance is offering another incentive for shopping locally this holiday season. From their website:

Shop local! Collect receipts when you shop or dine this holiday season at ten of the LIBA member businesses listed below between 11/7/2008 and 1/5/2009.

Present them for review at the Louisville Science Center Gift Shop or Wild and Woolly Video. You’ll be entered into a drawing for $1,000 to spend at any of LIBA’s member businesses! (Once we verify your receipts they will be returned to you on the spot).
