Artists Needed to Create Bike Racks

It's a great time to be an artist in Louisville. A while back, I blogged about how the city was seeking artists to design Gallopalooza horses, and now they're seeking artists to design bike racks. Downtown Louisville currently has 24 bike rack sculptures on its sidewalks, and 10 more will be designed and installed through this current project.

Artists chosen to design the bike racks will be paid $2,500 for their work. To be considered, you must submit your portfolio no later than December 9th, 2008. Call (502) 583-1671 for more information.
