Some of the best CDs I own came from the days when I was a bartender and the bands that came in to play shows at the bar would give me copies of their CDs in place of tips. Most of these bands had recorded, edited, and produced their albums all by themselves, and they commonly turned out to be much better than the professionally-produced CDs I was paying close to $20 for at the major retailers.
So, my Christmas gift idea this week is a Christmas CD titled "An Extatic Christmas" (sic) by Chris Cavendish. It's an instrumental holiday CD that features many classic Christmas songs played on guitar, including "Joy to the World," "Silent Night," and "The First Noel." This YouTube video gives a good sampling of the music on the CD, and the CD can be purchased through his blog for only $10.

What exactly does he mean by “Extatic”?
I looked at the video. They guy is obviously a virtuoso. I listened to the samples on his blog. I did not hear classical guitar on his samples. Is this a mixed message?
