Gallopalooza Call for Artists

If you've lived in Louisville for any amount of time, you've certainly seen those painted horses that stand in front of businesses all over Kentuckiana. This year will be the second running of Gallopalooza, and artists are needed to design and create the Gallopalooza horses. Interested artists simply submit a design through the Gallopalooza website in an effort to gain a sponsor.

I tried to convince my mom to submit a design, but she claims that she's not experienced enough to actually create the horse if her design was sponsored. I even have an idea for my own horse design, but I am too pressed for time as it is without trying to add painting a horse to my schedule. So, I hope that someone who reads this submits a design and is sponsored. I think that is a really good way for new artists to gain name recognition as well as to network within the local art community.
