Green Week Comes to Its Close

Friday July 4, 2008
As Green Week at About.com Louisville comes to an end, I hope you'll all continue to find ways to live life a little more environmentally friendly every day. The Louisville Metro Government website has many great tips for going green on their website, such as turning off the water while brushing your teeth, walking or riding the TARC for one trip a month instead of driving, and volunteering to help clean up your neighborhood.

You may also consider creating or joining a group with members that are dedicated to living a more environmentally-friendly life and sharing their ideas and tips with others. This could be as simple as creating an email listserv, creating a group that meets once a month, or even creating a chat room or Yahoo group where interested people could meet and discuss environmental issues.

Until then, I have created a discussion board with some of my ideas for going green that I didn't have room for in the blog this week. I hope you'll share your ideas there as well. You do not have to register to post, but registering will allow you get notifications when new posts are added.
