I really hope that you are planning to put together an entry on what to do with your kids over Christmas break in Louisville. Seems I always seem to hear about the free magic shows at IUS, free museum days, or free craft projects after the fact. Individuals who commit to work as a lifeguard or assistant at a local park for one full season can take the classes for free. Pay for lifeguards and assistants is between $6-$7 an hour (Learn More).

This will save you seven dollars on an adult ticket and four dollars on a child ticket. One canned good is required for each person who receives the discounted admission.
